Sifax Group has disclosed that it is supporting Nigeria's fight against COVID-19 with the sum of N130m.
The company, via a statement, said the money is to be shared among the Federal Government, through the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, which will be given N70m, Lagos and Ogun states to get N15m and N10m respectively while the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) would get N5m.
Sifax added that the company through its foundation, the Ajoke Ayisat Afolabi Foundation, will be distributing the sum of N30m relief funds to support the poor across the nation.
The Group Managing Director, Sifax Group, Adekunle Oyinloye said; “We are delighted to be presenting the support funds to both the federal and state governments. As a company, we believe that healthy people will translate to a healthy nation, that is why we are leaving no stone unturned in our support towards the eradication of this pandemic in Nigeria.
“Our foundation, Ajoke Ayisat Afolabi Foundation, is also committing funds into making sure that the poor are adequately taken care of.”
Oyinloye commended the Federal Government for its efforts geared towards containing the spread of the virus, saying that the efforts would go a long way in flattening the curve.
