Coronavirus: United States Records 1,150 Deaths In 24 Hours

In 24 hours, the United States, recorded 1,150 deaths resulting from the novel coronavirus, a tally by Johns Hopkins University revealed, raising the number of deaths in the country past the 10,000 mark.

According to the report by the University, there are over 366,000 new coronavirus cases in the United States, with 30,000 new cases recorded in 24 hours. 

The total number of recorded deaths stands at 10,783 in the US.

The US has by far the most number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world. The number of deaths recorded since the start of the pandemic has for the past several days increased by at least 1,000 per day and is gradually approaching the number of deaths in Italy (16,523) and Spain (13,005), AFP reports.
