Coronavirus: United States Tops Global Infection Cases, More

China and Italy have been beaten off the top of list as the countries with the most recorded cases of infection in the world, the country atop the list is the United States, with a record of 83,000 cases.

Globally, the number of infections stand at over 500,000, with hospitals overwhelmed with the amount of patients needing attention daily, leading to world leaders pledging $5 trillion to keep the global economies afloat.

Over 1,178 deaths have been recorded in the United States, while globally, the number of deaths recorded is 23,293.

Trump, has enjoined Americans to “Stay home. Just relax, stay home,” as part of the global effort to contain the spread of the virus.

France Infection Cases Surge

The Government of France, trying to nip the spread of the virus in the bud, as the cases of infections and deaths in Italy rises, has ordered a lockdown.

On Thursday, the country reported a number of 365 deaths, making it the country's record of the most deaths in one day from the virus.
