Councilor Empowers Widows, School Pupils In Gudi

A councilor in the Akwanga Legislative Arm, Honourable Shuaibu Aliyu Kachalla, has empowered a total of 150 less privileged women in his constituency with deep freezers, grinding machine and cash. 

Kachalla who represents Gudi Electoral Ward also empowered Fifteen (15) widows with wrappers and cash in fulfillment of his campaign promises. 

Forty (40) school pupils drawn across public primary schools in the electoral ward also smiled home with new uniforms and study materials. 

The event tagged 'Beneficiaries Phase 1'smiled and was held on Tuesday in Gudi at the premises of the Emir's Palace, Nasarawa State. 

In attendance during the event were the Executive Chairman, Honorable Safiyanu Isah and his Deputy, Honourable Shaibu Basau; Speaker of the Legislative Arm, Honourable Sunday Hassan and his colleagues. 

Speaking at the event, Kachalla said the gesture in fulfillment of his campaign promises is aimed at giving the less privileged a sense of belonging. 

He assured his constituents of purposeful representation to deliver more dividends of democracy. 

The Councilor enjoined his people to remain law abiding and peaceful for development to thrive in the area. 

Also speaking, the Executive Chairman of Akwanga Local Government Council, Honourable Safiyanu Isah who described the gesture as apt and commendable urged other councilors to emulate in order to improve the living conditions of the people. 

He commended the Councilor for prioritizing the welfare of his people and assured him of support to deliver more life-impactful democratic gains.

Other dignitaries in attendance were the Executive Chairman of Kokona Local Government Council, Honourable Awalu Adamu; Secretary of NSUBEB, Hajiya Hasiya Ahmed and the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwanga LGA, Honourable Abbas Liman Abbas. 

Highlights of the event was the presentation of merit award to the Councilor and appointment letters to his thirteen (13) newly appointed aides.
