Court declares Zamfara governorship election inconclusive

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja on Thursday has declared the Zamfara State governorship election as inconclusive.

It consequently ordered a re-run in three Local Government Areas of the state.

The Local Governments are: Maradun, Birnin-Magaji, and Bukyun.

A Channels TV report said the court upheld that the Zamfara State Election Petitions Tribunal did not consider the evidence provided by the appellants – All Progressives Congress (APC).

The court also dismissed the results provided by the APC and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for Maradun Local Government.
