A magistrate court in Osogbo on Thursday granted bail to popular Nigerian pornstar, Tobiloba Jolaoso, widely known as Kingtblakhoc, and his film crew who were at the start of this week arrested for shooting a pornographic movie at the Sacred Osun Grove in Osun State, South-West Nigeria.
Kingtblakhoc was on Monday initially arraigned at a court in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on the grounds of recording a contentious video titled, 'The Lost Cameroon LaDiva' at the Osun Osogbo Shrine in July 2020.
The accused were charged to court for conduct likely to cause a breach of peace and disrespect to traditional religion. Their action is said to be contrary to and punishable under Section 516, 233, 517, 451 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 vol. II Laws of Osun State Nigeria, 2002.
Kingtblakhoc and his crew members [five of them] who pleaded not guilty, were granted bail in the sum of N200,000 and one surety each in like sum.
The defence counsel, Tunbosun Oladipupo, applied for the bail of the accused persons in liberal terms saying that the allegations are bailable offences.
AllNews reports that the Chief Magistrate, Ishola Omisade stated that the sureties must be verified residents of Osun and must swear to an affidavit of means. He adjourned the case till September 28, 2020.
The Osun-Osogbo Sacred Grove is a sacred forest along the banks of the Osun river just outside the city of Osogbo.
Osun Osogbo can be easily accessed from many routes, AllNews understands.
The Grove is among the last of the sacred forests which usually adjoined the edges of most Yoruba cities before extensive urbanization.
Kingtblakhoc was arrested by the Nigerian police alongside multiple accomplices - four Nigerians and a Cameroonian - for the alleged offence, which also included sharing the controversial video on social media.
The accused persons are Ladiva Aije, 22; Juliet Semion, 24; Ahmed Olasunkanmi, 23; Adeniran Eritosin, 29; and Tunde Jimoh, 27.
According to the Osun police public relations officer, Folashade Odoro, Kingtblakhoc recorded the x-rated film on July 25 and syndicated it on several porn sites.
‘‘Yes, Tblakhoc was arrested for shooting a porn film in the Osun Osogbo shrine and was arraigned at a high court," Odoro had said according to Premium Times.
Reports say the adult film actor was seized following complaints from a member of Traditional Religion Association Worshipers of Nigeria, Amoo Awosunwon.
‘‘Awosunwon of Idinleke Temple, Osogbo, reported to the us that he sighted Tblakhoc dressed in Osun traditional attire in a sex movie with a naked young lady shared on the social media," the Osun police image-maker added.
In the clip sighted by this reporter, Tblakhoc donned a neck cord decorated with alternating coloured beads. He was outdoor with a lady who was near-naked.
AllNews understands that the 27-year-old was also arrested for using Ifa worshippers’ items in the video.
The police prosecutor, Idoko John, told the court on Monday that the pornstar and his accomplices committed the crime in an international worship ground, which could tarnish the image of the religion.
‘‘The accused persons are being prosecuted for acting in a film which appeared on the face of it to bear a pornographic picture of young girls who were half-naked and thereafter published or sent for public consumption,’’ the charge sheet read.
The prosecutor alleged that the accused persons conspired amongst themselves to act at the Osun-Osogbo traditional and religious ground and commit a misdemeanour to wit insult to religion.

The court had on Monday ruled that the six accused persons be remanded in the Ilesa correctional centre.
He is known for posting raunchy photos on Instagram.
KingTblakHOC attended Providence Nursery and Primary school Ikirun, Osun State, and then completed his secondary school education in 2009 at Akinorun Grammar School, situated also at Ikirun.
Subsequently, he travelled to Malaysia. He was said to have returned to Nigeria in 2014 and met a lady whom he engaged to at the time. Their broken union produced a daughter.
KingTblakHOC has also tried venturing into the Nigerian music Industry.
Earlier in 2015, he was said to be trying his luck with then-friend, Samklef. He adopted the name HOC. The entertainer later quit music because he thinks the Nigerian music industry is 'already filled up'.
There are rumours that KingTblakHOC is into 'Yahoo-Yahoo' and he made his fortune by going to Malaysia. That claim hasn't been validated though.
