Court Fines Kenyan Woman Who Blocked Traffic While Having In

A Kenyan Court has Fined Woman Who Blocked Traffic While Having Intimacy In Car With Boyfriend.

A Nairobi woman who was reportedly caught making love with her boyfriend in the middle of Thika Highway, in the process causing a traffic jam, was on Thursday, January 26, 2023, fined KSH20,000 (N74,029.75) in default to serve a six-month jail term, Kenyan media has reported.

The woman was convicted by the court after pleading guilty to charges of inciting a disturbance and impeding traffic on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Thika Road Mall in Roysambu.

It was not specified when the two lovebirds were caught in the very heinous conduct.

The prosecution informed the court that the accused was apprehended by Kasarani Police Station traffic officials who were patrolling the road near the Thika Road Mall.

The court heard that on the fateful date, the traffic policemen on duty were drawn to the traffic bottleneck and promptly tried to determine the source of the jam.

When they approached the accused person's automobile, they discovered the lady in a compromising position with a male in their car, which was stopped in the middle of the road. It's unknown why the two chose to have sex on a busy road.

According to the prosecution, the cops kindly halted the session and urged the two lovebirds to go to the driveway, but were met with animosity.

"Enraged by the police request to drive away, the accused person began hurling insults at the officers who were armed and even reportedly dared them to open fire," the prosecutor stated while reading the facts surrounding the case.

Furthermore, the court heard that the cops promptly filed a complaint about the incident at the Kasarani Police Station.

Their boss quickly sent reinforcements, which overwhelmed the two lovers and arrested them.

The accused was arrested and summoned to court to answer the allegations levelled against her.

When the judge asked if the facts of the case were correct, she consented.

In mitigation, the lady pleaded with the court to pardon her, claiming she is regretful and will never commit the acts again.

The magistrate, however, fined her KSH20,000 for each offence or sentenced her to six months in prison.
