Former Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke, has been granted bail in the sum of N50m with one surety, by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Adoke was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), alongside Aliyu Abubakar, his co-defendant, before Justice Binta Nyako on seven fresh counts on money laundering in connection to the Malabu Oil deal, to which they pleaded guilty to each count.

Adoke's first arraignment was in December of last year over his dealings in the Malabu Oil deal, after he willingly traveled back to Nigeria from Dubai to face his charges.
