A Plateau State High Court has ordered one Muhammed Nasiru to refund 11 years salary he received while working with the National Veterinary Research Institute (NVRI), Vom in the state.
Before his arraignment, Nasiru was the head of administration at the institute.
The court further sentenced him to six months imprisonment over declaration of false documents for employment at the NVRI.
Nasiru had been arraigned on a two-count charge by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences (ICPC).
The ICPC said Nasiru was not qualified for the job noting that he was retired forcefully in 2003 by the National Judicial Institute (NJI) in Abuja.
Meanwhile the presiding judge, Justice Christy Dabup gave Nasiru the option of paying the sum of N150,000 in place of the six months jail term.
