    Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate, Natasha Akpoti,  excluded by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the November 16 governorship election in Kogi State, has been reinstated.

    The Federal High Court in Abuja, on Thursday, ordered her reinstatement while faulting INEC for excluding her from the upcoming elections.

    According to the judge, the provisions of sections 31(1) and 83 of the Electoral Act holds that INEC cannot disqualify or reject a candidate nominated by a political party for an election.
