 Court Remands Notorious Osun Cultist Rasheed Oko-Ilu In Ile

Notorious cultist Hammed Rasheed popularly known as Oko-ilu has been remanded in Ilesa correctional center, Osun State.

AllNews Nigeria reports that Oko Ilu, who has been terrorising Ede town, was arrested last Saturday after three months of being declared wanted for committing various capital offenses.

Oko-ilu was arraigned on Wednesday afternoon at a chief magistrate court in Osogbo.

The suspected cultist was charged with nine counts bordering on murder, unlawfully killing two persons, disruption of public peace, cultism and others.

He was charged with the death of Hassan Adedeji, one Idowu (A.K.A. Delta) and the shooting of one Inspector Gbenga Eke.

The charge sheet brought to court by the Police Prosecutor, Inspector Elisha Olusegun was not read in the court as the Magistrate did not take Oko-Ilu’s plea.

The Magistrate, Ayilara remanded him in Ilesa prison and adjourned the case till October 7.

The Chief Magistrate further ordered that the duplicate case file should be forwarded to the Department of Public Prosecution (DPP) for legal advice.
