Court Remands Notorious Osun Cultists On Nine-Count Charge

An Osun Chief Magistrate Court has remanded Rasheed Hammed popularly known as Rasheed Okoilu, the notorious cultist terrorising, Ede, at the Nigerian Correctional Centre, Ilesa.

Okoilu was arraigned on Wednesday on a nine-count charge including conspiracy to commit a felony, unlawful killings, engaging in unlawful society, and illegal possession of arms among others.

Chief Magistrate, Olusegun Ayilara said after reading the charge sheet, that there was no need for any plea to be taken.

The case was adjourned to October 7, 2022, for hearing.

He was arrested on Saturday, August 6, 2022, three months after he was declared wanted by the police for various criminal offences.

The notorious cultist is also said to be an associate of Kazeem Oyewale aka Asiri Eniba.

Both men have been identified to be thugs on the payroll of the Osun All Progressives Congress (APC).
