Killers Of Funke Olakuri

An Ondo State High Court has sentenced the killers of Olufunke Olakuri, the daughter of Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti to death.

While four persons were accused of the crime, the trial judge, Justice William Olamide on Friday, however, discharged and acquitted one of them.

The convicts Muhammed Shehu, Mazaje Lawal, and Adamu Adamu, who were also accused of killing a hunter in the forest were found guilty of all the count charges brought against them.

Olamide in his verdict sentenced them to death by hanging or firing squad on charges bordering on conspiracy to kill, murder, kidnapping and armed robbery.

Olufunke Olakuri, the daughter of Afenifere leader, Reuben Fasoranti, was shot dead on July 12, 2019, while travelling between Kajola and Ore, along Ondo/Ore Highway.
