13 members of the Imo state House of Assembly have tested positive for Coronavirus.
A spokesman for the State Task Force on COVID-19, Chinedu Iwuala, confirmed the 13 new cases to Channels TV.
According to him, the infected lawmakers have gone into self-isolation.
He also disclosed that the Assembly will remain on shutdown indefinitely.
As at the time of filing this report, Imo state has a total of 243 confirmed coronavirus cases, 219 people on admission, 21 discharged patients, and 3 deaths.
