A fire has razed a makeshift isolation unit made for COVID-19 patients in United Hospital Dhaka, Bangladesh, resulting in five deaths.
According to Reuters reports, the fire service director, Zillur Rahman confirmed the incident adding that the cause of the fire is not yet ascertained.
Rahman stated that the flames were extinguished in about an hour and five victims were identified as four men and a woman aged between 45 and 75.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh has a total of 38,292 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 544 deaths.
A similar incident happened earlier this month when a Moscow hospital treating patients infected with coronavirus was also razed by fire resulting in the death of one COVID-19 patient.
