COVID-19: Ghanaians To Enjoy Free Water For 3 Months, Stable

The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Ado, in a public address on Sunday, said that the government of Ghana will be implementing some social intervention measures that will lessen the impact of the coronavirus on the citizens of the country, with focus on Ghana's health workers, as they battle to keep the disease from spreading.

Akufo-Ado stated that the government will waive water bills for the months of April, May, and June, as that will be covered by the government.

During this pandemic season, one of the safety measures required to keep the disease at bay is the regular washing of hands, and many communities have bemoaned the unavailablity of water in their areas, prompting the government of Ghana to respond with the free water bill for the three aforementioned months.

He also said that the country will experience a constant power supply.

Akufo-Ado said, “Furthermore, government will absorb the water bills for all Ghanaians for the next three months that is April, May and June.
