    The first casualty from the coronavirus pandemic was recorded in Imo State.

    This was disclosed by the Chairman of the COVID-19 Taskforce in the state, Professor Maurice Iwu, on Wednesday.

    Maurice said that the deceased had other health issues before he was transferred to the isolation centre in the state for treatment.

    He also added that the death was sped up by the deceased's underlying health issues, which reduced his chances of survival.
