COVID-19: Italy To Extend Lockdown Till May 3

 

The Prime Minister of Italy, Giuseppe Conte, said that the Italian government's plan to extend the lockdown in the country to the 3rd of May was a "difficult" decision and that he takes full responsibility for the extension.

He said, “We are extending the restrictions until May 3. It is a difficult but necessary decision for which I assume full political responsibility."

Italy has a death toll of 18,849, making it the country with the highest number of recorded deaths from the virus.
