The Minister of Health in Brazil, Nelson Teich, has resigned amid the coronavirus pandemic, and a source within the ministry said that the resignation was due to Teich's "incompatibility" with Brazilian President, Jair Bolsonaro's method of combating the pandemic.
Teich served as minister in Bolsonaro's administration for less than a month.
The immediate former Health Minister, Luiz Henrique Mandetta, also resigned on 16 April, after the president disagreed with the stay-at-home measures recommended by Luiz.

Bolsonaro had said that the use of chloroquine in the treatment of coronavirus be adopted, with Teich disagreeing with the president on the matter, as there had been studies that raised concerns over the use of the drug.
The health ministry announced Teich's resignation from office, stating that a press conference would follow later.
Brazilians have been piqued by the news, with many of them chanting, “Get out, Bolsonaro!”
