The Government of Morocco has made mandatory the wearing of face masks in an effort to curb the spread of coronavirus in the country.
The decision to enforce the wearing of face masks was set down on Monday, stating that the law would take effect the following day.
On the 19th of March, the Moroccan Government announced a public health state of emergency, ordering people to stay indoors except for those who have permits to be out for work.
There has been a heavy presence of security agencies on the streets in Morocco owing to the decree that citizens stay at home, with checkpoints created on many roads.

Morocco has a total of 1,120 coronavirus cases, with a death toll of 80.
It is believed that the actual number of infections in the country is higher than what is presented due to a shortage of testing kits in the country.
