Nigeria's confirmed Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases passed 30,000 on Wednesday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said, as the dreaded virus spreads in Africa's most populous country amid an easing of restrictions put in place to curb the novel disease.
AllNews reports that NCDC, in its daily update posted on its website and official social media handles, said there were 460 new cases taking the total number of recorded cases to 30,249.
According to the NCDC, these had led to 684 deaths.

Meanwhile, the global coronavirus cases exceeded 12 million on Wednesday, as evidence mounts of the airborne spread of the disease that has killed more than half a million people in seven months.
