The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has warned that the world is not returning to normalcy anytime soon.
Issuing this warning on Monday, Tedros who faulted the way many countries were handling the coronavirus Pandemic said that there could be no going back to normalcy anytime soon.
“I want to be straight with you: there will be no return to the ‘old normal’ for the foreseeable future,” the World Health Organization’s director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told a virtual news briefing.
With a lot of Countries lifting the initial ban placed on Social and economic activities as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, WHO has however come to warn that there is no returning to the old normalcy anytime soon.
Nigeria has also started the process to gradually return to normalcy as the government recently lifted restrictions placed on domestic air and interstate travels.
With a cure yet to be found for the deadly pandemic, the specialized United Nations agency responsible for public health has however warned against returning to Normalcy.
