North Korea has joined the short list of countries around the world that have moved to reopen schools during the pandemic, with reports stating that the government is looking to do that this month.
Although, the country's capital of Pyongyang has no confirmed coronavirus case, authorities have imposed strict regulations like putting thousands of residents into isolation and closing of the country's borders.
Schools in the country scheduled to resume in April have seen numerous postponements, although, universities and high schools have resumed classes since mid April.
According to reports from the country, "New semesters will begin at elementary, middle and high schools nationwide from early June, and quarantine measures have been put in place for the reopening of nurseries and kindergartens.

“Education authorities have been asked to furnish thermometers and hand sanitisers at every gate of schools and classrooms and offices, while workers at schools and nurseries have been advised to stick to anti-virus principles."
