Nigeria’s tally of confirmed recoveries of Coronavirus disease (COVID- 19) rose to 1, 000 on Wednesday with 111 more persons discharged as reported by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
Allnews reports that the agency announced that six additional deaths were recorded across the country too.
NCDC said 184 new cases of COVID-19 were reported from 21 states plus the nations's capital: Lagos – 51, Jigawa – 23, Bauchi – 16, Katsina – 16, Kano – 14, FCT – 10, Rivers – 10, Kwara – 9, Delta – 5, Kaduna – 5, Sokoto – 4, Oyo – 4, Kebbi - 3, Nasarawa - 3, Osun -3, Ondo - 2, Ebonyi - 1, Edo -1, Enugu -1, Niger -1, Plateau -1 and Anambra – 1.

Since the federal government eased the lockdown last week Monday, there have been reports of Nigerians flouting safety guidelines put in place by the government to combat the spread of the dreaded virus.
The government had announced mandatory precautions including wearing of face masks in public and social distancing.
