COVID-19: Tanzania Records 254 Cases

On Monday, health authorities in Tanzania announced that the country had 84 new confirmed cases of  the novel coronavirus, which brings the total number of cases in the country to 254, rising from 170 recorded last week Friday.

The Minister of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children, Ummy Mwalimu, disclosed this in a statement, adding that Tanzania also recorded three new fatalities from the disease, making the total number of deaths in the country 10.

Ummy also said that the country's epicenter of the outbreak in the country was Dar es Salaam, with a record of 33 new cases, which makes up more than half of Tanzania's 31 regions.

Speaking on the condition of those admitted, Ummy said that all patients in admission to the quarantine facilities in the country were in stable conditions,with the exception of four who were admitted in ICU.
