Tunisian authorities said that two men, including a suspected jihadist member, were arrested over a suspected "terrorist" attack on security personnel in the country, in an attempt by the men to infect the security personnel with coronavirus.
The country's interior ministry said that the suspected jihadist member used his influence over other members who show symptoms of coronavirus.
In a confession to the police, the other arrested man said that he was told cough everywhere in a bid to infect officers during his visit to the police station where he was ordered to report to regularly.
The interior ministry added that tests were being carried out to ascertain whether the second offender has coronavirus.

Tunisia has over 800 hundred cases of coronavirus cases, and a death toll of 37, and has been in a state of emergency since 2015 since it experience a series of jihadist attacks.
