On Tuesday, the Southern-Central African country of Zambia recorded 174 fresh coronavirus cases.
The country tested 338 blood samples between May 9 and 10.
The cases were reported in various parts of Zambia, including a town that borders Tanzania that has become a hotspot for the disease.
Of the 174 new cases, 66 were truck drivers, and speaking on the implementation of effective containment measures, the country's Health Minister, Chitalu Chilufya, said that the Zambian Government will push for more collaborations with its neighboring countries to help curb the spread of the disease.

Chitalu added that the government will not shut all of its borders but rather, it will double down on screenings and tests for the drivers.
In total, Zambia has a total of 441 coronavirus cases, with 7 deaths and 117 recoveries.
