CRC Credit Bureau Makes Board Changes, Appoint New Chairman,

 

New chairman and vice chairman of CRC Credit Bureau Limited has been appointed by the Board of Directors of the company. CRC Credit Bureau appointed Olusegun Alebiosu as the new Chairman and Olajumoke Odulaja as Vice Chairman, to begin a new phase of management in the company.

CRC Credit Bureau provides a nationwide information repository on credit profiles of corporate entities as well as consumers. The firm assists credit providers to make informed lending decisions. And CRC Credit Bureau said the appointment of Alebiosu and Odulaja will be vital to the operation of the company as they both have 50 years combined experience in the financial sector, according to The Nation.

Who Is Alebiosu?

Alebiosu, who replaced Greg Jobome, has various industry experiences, ranging from his position as the Chief Risk Officer, First Bank of Nigeria. Alebiosu had also worked as Chief Risk Officer at Coronation Merchant Bank Limited, Chief Credit Risk Officer at African Development Bank Group and Group Head, Credit Policy, and Deputy Chief Credit Risk Officer at United Bank for Africa Plc. But he represents First Bank at CRC Credit Bureau.

He holds multiple certificates which includes bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management and a master’s degree in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos.

Aside from the aforementioned certificates, Alebiosu also studied at London School of Economics and Political Science, where he bagged a master’s degree in Development Studies.

Alebiosu is also a member of the following professional bodies; Associate of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and Member, Nigeria Institute of International Affairs, while he is also an alumnus of Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

Who Is Odulaja?

Just like Alebiosu, Odulaja is also a Chief Risk Officer, but for a different Nigerian bank, Union Bank. Over 20 years in the bank industry speaks for Odulaja, who had also held several roles as Chief Risk manager. She worked at Stanbic IBTC and Standard Chartered banks before joining Union Bank. Odulaja has been representing Union Bank Plc and Keystone Bank in CRC Credit Bureau since 2018.

Meanwhile, aside from obtaining bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of Ilorin in Nigeria, and Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Manchester Business School, United Kingdom, Odulaja also carries certificate of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Note that CRC Credit Bureau was established by a consortium of ten financial institutions and Dun & Bradstreet, hence, both Alebiosu and Odulaja representing banks before their appointment as Chairman and Vice Chairman.
