Croatia Have Three Medals — Dalic

Zlatko Dalic

Croatia's national team coach Zlatko Dalic expressed pride in his team's accomplishments, despite the bitter disappointment of a penalty shootout defeat to Spain in the Nations League final.

The Croatian side, supported by thousands of passionate fans in Rotterdam, missed yet another opportunity to secure their first international trophy, following their silver and bronze finishes in the previous two World Cups.

"We have consistently won medals, one after another, which is a remarkable achievement," Dalic shared with reporters. "To have three medals for Croatia is an outstanding feat that demonstrates our nation's immense potential. Although we are disappointed with the loss, we should still be proud of what we have accomplished."

Dalic also addressed the uncertainty surrounding the future of his captain, Luka Modric. The 37-year-old Real Madrid midfielder delivered another impressive performance throughout the tournament.

"Luka has stated that he will make his own decision regarding his future after the tournament, and I believe that is fair," Dalic revealed.

"He has played brilliantly, and we would love for Luka to continue with us. He is an exceptional player, and we hope he will remain a part of our team for a long time."
