Cross River: SUBEB Commences Handing Over Of 108 Classrooms

The State Universal Basic Education (SUBEB), Cross River chapter has commenced the handing over of the 108 classrooms constructed in different schools across the state.

The spokesperson of the board, Ochino Amatey made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Calabar.

According to her, the classroom project numbers among the 32 projects implemented under the intervention projects for 2022 UBE/SUBEB.

Amatey listed other projects for the year to include 10,034 customised plastic tables and chairs and a borehole project at Model School, Kakum in Obudu Local Government Area of the state.

The spokesperson added that the board had also built a vocational hall at UBEC Model Vocational Junior Secondary School, Atimbo in Akpabuyo Local Government Area.

She said the 108 classrooms would be shared among 19 secondary schools in the state with two to six classrooms given to each school.

“These projects were executed as part of the continuous effort of the government to improve the standard of basic education in the state.

“The state government remains committed to improving the standard of education in the state,’’ she said.
