A lone accident which claimed the life of a middle-aged woman in Calabar has been confirmed by the Sector Commander, FRSC Cross River, Maikano Hassan.
Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Hassan disclosed that the incident which occurred on Sunday was a result of overspeeding.
According to him, the accident was on Murtala Mohammed Road and the Toyota Highlander the woman was driving skidded off the road into a ditch by the highway.
“Though the woman was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, she was pronounced dead minutes later due to injury sustained from the incident", he said.
It was gathered that the woman was chasing her husband who was alleged with his side chick at the time when she lost control of her vehicle.
