Cyber Security Experts Association of Nigeria (CSEAN) on Thursday called for Cyber security intelligence to enhance the nation’s security.
Director, CSEAN, Olatunji Igbalajobi said at the 10th SECUREX Exhibition and Conference in Lagos that cyber intelligence would enable the country understood the nature and capability of an attack.
According to Igbalajobi, it will enable security personnel to manage the full spectrum of threat and the incident response.
“Cyber security intelligence includes collecting information, processing it and analysing the information to help the action on incoming attacks.
”This is because Nigeria faces traditional and emerging threats to national issues which are real, significant and enduring.
”The way forward is awareness and training, strong legislative framework, government commitment, among others.
”The national intelligence unit should help in information gathering needed to improve the fight against insecurity,” he said.
