Cubana Club Shooting: Why Burna Boy Has To Be Interrogated

The Nigerian Police have stated why Grammy award-winning singer Burna Boy has to be interrogated after the shooting incident involving his crew at the Cubana Club in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The singer's associates recently got into an altercation with some clubbers at the aforementioned venue and shot at them in the process.

An eyewitness revealed that the whole thing started because of a woman and narrated how one of those shot almost lost his life.

Following the ugly incident, the police have now launched a probe into what transpired as more details emerge revealing that Burna Boy reportedly made advances at another man's wife.

The lady's husband got furious and things escalated, leading to the shooting at the nightclub.

Speaking on the issue, the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, noted that to ensure a detailed investigation of the case, Burna Boy would have to be interrogated.

Adejobi's words came as a response to a fan who had stated that the incident had nothing to do with the Ye crooner.

"This has nothing to do with Burna Boy. The duty of the police guard to Burna Boy is to protect his life. So sir, forget what some Burna haters said about him. Please carry out our investigation with due diligence sir.", the fan identified as Adeshina had said.

Responding, Adejobi stated: "Exactly what we will do. But there is no way the police would want to have a detailed investigation without interrogating Burna Boy. No way.

"So the level of involvement of everyone in the incident will determine his punishment or otherwise. We should not preempt what the report will reveal.”
