Customer Accuses FCMB Of Stealing N7 Million From His Accoun

George Braide, a customer of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has accused the bank of allegedly taking N7 million from his account.

Braide who has an account with the bank at Aba Road by the GRA branch in Port Harcourt, Rivers State explained that the sum of N7 million was withdrawn from his account within three days and he is asking the bank for a refund.

He said earlier on Saturday that his MTN line was blocked and he went to the MTN service centre to lodge the complaint but was told there was nothing that could have caused the blockage.

Then later that day, he noticed there were multiple transfers to Opay accounts, binge purchases and all manner of withdrawals from his account starting from Saturday morning till Monday morning.

In all, N7 million was withdrawn from the account that has his retirement benefits between Saturday morning and Monday.

However, at the time of filing this report,  all efforts to reach out to FCMB have been abortive as no call or text was responded to.
