Customs Head Charges Graduating Students On Focus, Courage

Raliat Laaro-Olatunji, the Assistant Comptroller of Customs in charge of Apapa Command in Lagos, has advised students to be focused and courageous to achieve their goals in life. 

Laaro-Olatunji gave the advice during the valedictory and prize-giving ceremony of the outgoing SS3 students of Adedokun International Schools, Ota, Ogun on Monday.

The customs boss who chaired the event said that by planning their time wisely, and by being determined, students can be achievers and problem solvers.

“It takes focus, courage, determination and proper planning of their time to be achievers as they would confront many barriers on their way to success.

“In addition, you also need prayers to be able to surmount all of the barriers you might face on your way to success,” she said.

Also speaking at the event, the Proprietress of the school, Romoke Adedokun, attributed the success and remarkable achievement of the school to the mutual strength, dedication and understanding of its stakeholders including the student, the parents and their staff of the school.

“The set standard stood us out among others and branded the school which made it the school of choice,” she said.

Adedokun boasted that the school came second in the National Cross Learning Mathematics Competition, commending the association of parents for the and commended the parents association for their massive support to the growth of the school.

She congratulated the graduating students, charging them to be good ambassadors of their families and not engage in illegal activities that could affect the in the future. 

The Principal of the school, Mike Fatukasi, said that the session had been very fruitful and that improvements had been made in all areas of the school.

Fatukasi added that the students of the science department produced items including perfumes, soaps and air fresheners during the  2021/2022 session with the label of Adedokun International School.
