Cyberfraud: Hushpuppi To Get Court Sentence On Valentine's D

Social media big boy Hushpuppi has been scheduled for sentencing on February 14, 2022, (Valentine's day) by a United States court at the Central District of California for allegedly laundering $24 million.

According to BBC Pidgin, the court’s Director of Media Relations, Thom Mrozek, announced that Hushpuppi’s case is set to come to a close.

The court’s spokesperson, however, did not give any information on the duration of trial and sentence.

Court documents unsealed in July last year indicate that Hushpuppi could face up to 20 years in prison, and will need to “pay full restitution to the victim(s).”

Hushpuppi known for his flamboyant lifestyle on social media platforms was picked by the FBI in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on June 10, 2020, after he was embroiled in a $35 million ventilator scam.

In a damning video released by Dubai Police tagged 'Operation Fox Hunt 2', it was revealed that the Instagram big boy, born Ramon Olorunwa Abass, scammed 1,926,400 victims.
