Cyprus: 13-Year-Old Hospitalised As Car Driven By Teen Crash

A 13-year-old boy was hospitalised in serious condition on Friday following an accident with a car driven by a 15-year-old boy in Limassol.

Cyprus media reports that the injured boy was sitting in the back of a single-cab pickup truck with a 15-year-old boy, while the car was driven by another 15-year-old with a 17-year-old as a passenger.

They were driving on Ayios Therapontas Alassa road at around 3.30 am when the car fell into a 20-metre deep ravine.

Firefighters rushed to the scene and pulled the minors out of the vehicle.

The teenagers were then transferred to the Limassol general hospital, where the younger boy remains in the intensive care unit.

The minor who drove the car tested positive after taking an alcohol test. Police are investigating the exact causes of the accident.
