Daddy Freeze Apologises For Things Said About RCCG's Adeboye

Media mogul, Daddy Freeze has apologised to Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), for the things he said about him "that might have been misconstrued as rude."

Freeze, in a Facebook live session where he lauded Adeboye for supporting the #EndSars nationwide protest, said that the cleric's message was a wholesome one.

AllNews reports that Adeboye who weighed behind the protesters held that the youths will not be able to fulfill God's plans if they are not kept alive.

"I support the youths in this peaceful protest as they “speak up” to #EndPoliceBrutality!#EndSARS #ENDSWAT.”

Freeze who earlier lamented over Nigerian pastors' silence about the #EndSars movement, upheld the General Overseer's message, saying it will encourage more youths to take part in it.

“Wholesome message from Adeboye. This is what Nigerian youths need to hear. They need to know that their leaders, especially religious ones, have their back,” the radio broadcaster explained.

“We don’t need him to join the protest. With this, Redeemers will be urged to join the peaceful protest.

“From the beginning of this year, I have been so proud of him. I did have a bet with one of my friends that Pastor Adeboye will be the first to speak in support of the #EndSARS protest.”

Speaking further, the media personality who has been a strong religion critic said "If there is anything I said about Pastor Adeboye in the past that might have been misconstrued as rude, please forgive us. We want our future to be bright. We don’t want to be derailed emotionally physically and spiritually.”
