Dangote speaks on fuel price, agreement with NNPCL

Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group, has stated that the pricing of Premium Motor Spirit (Petrol) from his refinery will be determined by the Federal Executive Council, chaired by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In an interview with Channels Television, Dangote made this revelation after announcing the commencement of petrol production at his 650,000 barrels per day refinery on Tuesday.

He also noted that the refined petrol will be available at filling stations within 48 hours, subject to logistics and distribution arrangements with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited.

According to him, the $20 billion refinery will soon finalize talks with NNPCL to get the product across to Nigerians.

He stressed that the price of the product will be arranged and decided by FEC.

“On PMS price, it is an arrangement that is designed and approved by the Federal Executive Council led by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“As soon as it is finalized, which is what he is pushing once he finishes with the FEC meeting, it can be today or Tomorrow we are ready to roll out in the market”, he said.
