Dapo Abiodun Wins Second Term In Ogun

Dapo Abiodun, the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate and Governor of Ogun State has won the guber contest in the state.

Abiodun was announced as the winner with a total of 276 298 votes.

He squared off against Ladi Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Collation Officer of the Independent Electoral Commission in Ogun State, Professor Kayode Adebowale, who is also the Returning Officer, announced this on Sunday, March 19, 2023.

Adebowale announced that Dapo Abiodun of the APC won with 276298 votes, giving him a 10,000 lead ahead of his PDP competition, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, who polled 262383.

Dapo Abiodun would be the theirs executive governor of the state to serve for a second term.

Only Olusegun Osoba served for only one term between 1999 and 2003.
