Davido, Adekunle Gold To Perform At Pharrell Williams' Music Festival

Nigerian superstars Davido and Adekunle Gold have been billed to perform at Pharrell Williams' music festival ‘Something In The Water’ in Washington DC.

The Afrobeats hitmakers will be performing alongside other global artists, like Lil Baby, Tyler the Creator, Lil Uzi Vert, and Jon Batiste.

‘Something In The Water’ festival will take place from Friday, June 17 to Sunday, June 19, 2022.

This was confirmed by Pharrell Williams himself via the lineup poster he shared on his Instagram page.

The festival which, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, suffered a setback in 2020, has kicked off again.

In a released statement, Williams, who is also a popular musician, said the following about the forthcoming festival:

“‘Something In The Water’ is a Black solution [LOVE] for a systemic issue. And this year we are taking our celebration to a higher platform — the nation’s Capital during Juneteenth Weekend.

"We want to show the world that there is Something In The Water across the whole DMV and I want to continue to bring awareness to the greatness within these communities and invite large corporations to show up for the people.

"DC has always been a deep inspiration to me as a person and a musician.”
