Davido's account has been restricted by Wema Bank following the heavy flow of cash from individuals who responded positively to his call for monetary donation.
He shared the account details on his social media profile and a number of people sent him millions of naira, bringing the total to over N151 million (as at the time of filing this report).
Davido gave updates on the amount of money he had received and it was discovered in his recent posts that debits had been blocked from the account, meaning he couldn't withdraw any money at the current time.
Most banks put an account on Post-No-Debit (PND), which is essentially an instruction to not allow any withdrawals or transfers from the account owners' bank accounts, thereby preventing outflows. It is usually an extreme move taken to allow for an investigation and maybe the recovery of any unlawful funds deposited into an account.
Given the recent influx of funds into Davido's account, it's easy to see why his account was placed on PND.
