Pakistan was struck by tragic violence on Friday as two separate explosions in the provinces of Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa claimed numerous lives and left many injured.

One of the blasts occurred during a celebration of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday, resulting in a high number of casualties.

The wave of violence has rattled the nation and raised concerns about security and the safety of gatherings.

The explosion claimed the lives of at least 52 individuals and left nearly 70 others wounded.

The attack, considered one of the deadliest in recent years, created a scene of devastation near a mosque, with images of shoes scattered amidst the victims.

Immediate emergency response efforts were launched, including transporting the injured to hospitals and appeals for blood donations.

In another distressing incident on the same day, a blast rocked a mosque located on the premises of a police station in Hangu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This explosion resulted in five fatalities and seven injuries. The mud-brick mosque collapsed due to the force of the blast, leading to rescuers working diligently to extract worshippers from the debris. The exact cause of the explosion remained unclear at the time of reporting.
