Death Toll Rises As Israeli, Palestinian Armed Groups Exchan

The death toll from Israeli attacks in Gaza Strip has risen to 25.

This comes as tensions between Israeli forces and Palestinian armed groups continue to escalate.

This week's violence marks the worst escalation since August 2019.

Israel and Gaza's armed groups continued to exchange heavy fire on Thursday, with Israel claiming that over 500 rockets have been fired from Gaza since Tuesday.

The Israeli army confirmed that 154 rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defence system while 368 reached Israel.

Over the past three days, buildings have been destroyed, and streets in Gaza City have remained deserted.

The Gaza Strip has suffered significant losses with the death of several leaders. The Islamic Jihad armed group confirmed that four of its leaders, including Ali Ghali, a commander of a rocket launch unit, were killed in strikes in recent days.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine also confirmed that four of its fighters had been killed.
