2023 Presidential aspirant Atiku Abubakar has disowned the tweet he shared condemning the killing of Deborah Samuel, a student of the Shehu Shagari College of Education.
The former Vice President had expressed his anger over the recent tragedy in a Twitter post but was forced to delete it after religious fanatics threatened not to vote for him in the forthcoming election.
Taking to Facebook, Atiku in a message on his verified Hausa page distanced himself from the deleted post, stating that any message on social media that did not carry the words A. A. was not his.
"This evening I received information that a post was made that doesn’t agree with my orders. I use this to announce that any post without A. A. is not from me. May God protect us,” he penned in Hausa language.
