    The Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has imposed a 24-hour curfew on the state as a result of protests by youths in the region.

    The aggrieved youths are demanding the release of the two suspects arrested in the killing of Deborah Yakubu, the student of the Shehu Shagari College of Education.

    The protest had turned violent and reports say one person has been killed, with the police employing the use of teargas to disperse the crowd.
