Delta State Commissioner for Education, Rose Ezewu has charged the students of the state to work hard to secure a bright future for themselves in Asaba.
The commissioner said this while monitoring the 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) on Tuesday.
Ezewu expressed her contentment with the conduct of the examination, adding that the government was tasked with conducting a successful examination.
“Students should shun examination malpractice and I urge stakeholders to cooperate with one another to ensure the success of the exercise,’’ she said.
Permanent Secretary, Delta Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Augustine Oghoro said the government would keep improving on conducting examinations.
“Materials for the examination are sufficiently provided to all the examination centres on time. I urge candidates to ensure that they put in their best to guarantee their success,’’ he said.
According to the Director of Examination standards, Sunday Egomagwuna, a total of 89,537 candidates took part in the 2022 BECE.
