Following the demolition of Arsenal at the Etihad on Wednesday night, Pep Guardiola concedes that Manchester City had taken control of the title race.
City thrashed the Gunners 4-1 to close in on the league leaders in the race to win the Premier League title.
Addressing a news conference on what the victory means for City, Guardiola said: “It’s not decisive but important. We played very well.
“The next three games will be really important but, of course, the most important thing is that destiny is in our hands.
"When you arrive at the end of the season, whatever happens, it doesn't matter.
"It's our performance, to win the (remaining) games, it depends on us.
"This is the best way to approach the last seven games we still have."
Guardiola's City are just two points off the top with two games in hand and can take the lead with a victory on Sunday at Fulham.
