Disqualified Housemates In The History Of The BBNaija Show

Disqualified Housemates In The History Of The BBNaija Show

Beauty is the latest Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate to be disqualified from the reality show. Her disqualification is quite record-breaking as she got her three strikes within two weeks of the commencement of the show.

In Big Brother's house, there are some sets of rules that need to be followed religiously.

Some housemates might be lucky enough to get just a warning from Big Brother for breaking the rules while the not-so-lucky ones get a strike. When the strikes accumulate to three, the erring housemate will be sent packing.

Disqualified housemates are made to exit the show from the backdoor and do not have the luxury of granting interviews or talking to the live audience. They will also not receive any money or other prizes they have won from their participation in the house tasks.

See the housemates that have been disqualified in the history of the reality show.

Kemen (2017 ‘See Gobe’)

Kemen was the first housemate to be disqualified in the history of the reality show. In the second season of the reality TV show themed ‘See Gobe’ which came 11 years after the first season,  Kemen was disqualified for sexually touching female co-housemate Tboss without her consent while she was asleep.

Kemen whose real name is Ekemini Ekerette has however maintained that the event did not happen as was depicted on TV during his interviews.

Khloe and K-Brule (2018 ‘Double Wahala’)

K Brule | Khloe

Khloe and K-Brule were disqualified from the Season 3 reality TV show as a pair. Khloe was paired with K.Brule as a strategic partner but apparently, that pairing was probably a mistake from the beginning as the two kept on getting into trouble.

The duo got their first strike when K. Brule got drunk and jumped from the first floor of the BBNaija house. Another strike was inevitable when Khloe called K-Brule’s mother a whore on live TV.

K-Brule had tried to kiss co-housemate Leo, and Leo told Khloe about this. Khloe, who was the head of house at the time, confronted K-Brule. She called K-Brule’s mother a whore while K-Brule threatened to physically harm Khloe, almost hitting her, but was restrained by other housemates.

The two received their third strike for the fight and were thrown out of the show.

Tacha (2019 ‘Pepper Dem’)

Unarguably one of the most controversial and popular stars to emerge from the show, Tacha's disqualification drew the most attention.

She was a top contender on the show but the poor management of her temper led to her unceremonious exit just a few days before the end of the show.

Tacha was disqualified following her infamous fight with co-housemate and rival Mercy Eke who ended up winning the show.

After their fight, Tacha was disqualified while Mercy was issued two strikes. For pushing, shoving and also pulling Mercy’s hair, Tacha was found guilty of physical violence and intent to harm and was disqualified.

Erica (2020 Lockdown)

Erica was disqualified from the Big Brother Naija reality show on September 6, 2020, after she was found guilty of disregarding the house rules and the entire BBNaija process.

After the 7th Saturday night party, Erica who was intoxicated by alcohol, threatened to make her fellow housemate, Laycon suffer and also body-shamed him.

Furthermore, she took a swipe at Prince and also poured water on his side of the bed in the head of house lounge for not supporting her while blasting Laycon.

Her disqualification was one of the most controversial as a GoFundMe was set up for her less than an hour after she was evicted.

The GoFundMe was launched by Ehizode Irefo with a $100,000 goal (about N38m), which is the winning prize money set aside for the winner of the Lockdown edition.

Her die-hard fans, who call themselves ‘Elites’, donated and it all accumulated to N33 Million ($72,317).

Beauty (2022 ‘Level Up’)

Less than an hour to the Sunday night eviction, she was issued a double strike for an altercation with her love interest, Groovy, and the destruction of Big Brother's property.

She was issued her first strike last week Sunday for an altercation with Groovy and Ilebaye.

That totals her strike to three and according to one of the rules of the show that three strikes equal disqualification, Beauty was disqualified.

Just a few days into the show, Amaka had said that she feels disqualification and a lot of altercations are not out of reach because her fellow housemates were highly opinionated.
