DJ Switch Criticises Adeboye For Recommending Prayers To Address Nigeria's Issues

DJ Switch has taken to social media to criticise Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, for his call on Nigerians to pray for the country on Independence Day.

Adeboye had urged Nigerians to continue praying for the nation, emphasising that colonisation does not equate to freedom from poverty, terror, or sickness.

In response, DJ Switch tweeted her discontent, accusing Pastor Adeboye of consistently urging Nigerians to pray for the country while rarely addressing the root causes of Nigeria’s challenges.

She emphasised that the Jesus people worshipped called out corruption boldly and questioned the effectiveness of anointing that does not address these issues.

She tweeted; “Pastor Adeboye constantly urging Nigerians to pray for Nigeria…  but rarely calls out the cause of Nigeria’s woes! Rarely calls them out for a failure to serve.

“The Jesus you worship served and called out corruption point blank! Some of una go say touch not my anointed! Anointing wey no dey anoint.”
